I (Dennis) knew Cathy Henderson as a young girl in Kansas City. Cathy is a person, not a monster. We played
together every time I went to visit my cousins that lived in the projects. She was always ready to play, and
also to be my friend. I remember that same smile you see in the picture above on a younger face. She was a
guaranteed play date every time we came to visit. We bumped lives again in our teens, but only long
enough for a "Hi, do you remember me? OK, take it easy". Then I never saw her again until I found her on
the Internet while searching for something completely different. I was shocked when I read the article.

Cathy does not have the same childhood memories that I do, but she has helped me to recall other things
about us that happened back so long ago. Like the time I shot her new white shirt with disappearing ink. I
seem to remember that being funny! She does not remember it that way. I terrorized Kansas City with that
squirt gun for a week before mean old Mrs. Gilbertson (My teacher) took it away from me after a recess full
of me wreaking havoc by hosing down the entire first grade with it. Thanks for the memories, Cathy. NOT!

Cathy was originally scheduled to be executed by the state of Texas for the death of three month-old
Brandon Baugh on April 18, 2007. The new date was then set for June 13, 2007. Cathy has always maintained
that Brandon's death was an accident.

Today is June 11, 2007: Two days away.
I am extremely elated to be writing this update tonight.
The
Texas Court of Criminal Appeals has granted Cathy's appeal and stayed her execution.

I am very happy that Cathy has chosen to use her precious free time, and also her very limited postage
stamps to personally write me letters renewing our friendship. Since finding Cathy online I have read most
of the related news stories, some petitions and writs, and her side of the story. We have never used our
letters to discuss her case. Those are reserved for friendship.

Any search engine you choose can pull up numerous articles about the short life and tragic fate of little
three-month old Brandon Baugh. The original news stories paint a picture of Cathy as a vicious, heartless
killer. The state's conviction was easy, Cathy ran. After being apprehended she drew a map to where she
had buried Brandon's body. The entire ordeal is so heart wrenching that it has made me sick, literally.

Only
God, Cathy, and sweet Brandon Baugh know exactly what happened on January 21, 1994.

I believe Cathy.
